During the election campaign for the Hyderabad body, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath accused the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) and All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) of indulging in misrule and corruption. Yogi said that voters should show during the Hyderabad civic elections to be held on December 1 that they will not allow the loot. He said that if Faizabad and Allahabad can be Ayodhya and Prayagraj respectively in Uttar Pradesh, then Hyderabad can also become Bhagyanagar again.
