Jaipur: Petrol and diesel prices are touching the sky these days. It is natural to have politics in such a situation. Former Chief Minister of Rajasthan Vasundhara Raje has demanded the Congress government of the state to reduce VAT on petrol and diesel. On this, the Congress has advised Vasundhara Raje to talk to PM Modi.
Congress leader Mahesh Joshi said, 'Vasundhara ji, it would be better that you talk to PM Modi on the issue of VAT on petrol and diesel. If the central government takes a step towards reducing the price of oil, the state government will not impose a tax on oil.

What did Raje say
Raje said in a statement on Wednesday, “Every countryman will be surprised to know that the most expensive petrol-diesel in India is getting in Rajasthan. During the tenure of the BJP government, we reduced the VAT on petrol-diesel by 4 per cent to about two thousand. Had to bear the financial burden of crores, which could have curbed the expensive price. “
According to Raje, the state government should consider measures like reducing VAT on petrol and diesel, while understanding the pain of the common man. So that people get some relief from this hit of inflation in Corona period.
