Chandigarh: The quarrel of Punjab Congress has reached Tu Tu Main. Capt Amarinder has replied to a letter written by Congress MP Pratap Bajwa to DGP Dinkar Gupta. He said that the decision to remove Bajwa's security was mine. Amarinder Singh said that instead of attacking DGP, talk to me. If Bajwa does not trust the Punjab government, then go to the Congress High Command. The CM has issued a written statement after Bajwa's cracking letter.
What did Bajwa say in the letter?
It is important to note that angry Congress MP Pratap Bajwa has written a letter to Punjab DGP Dinkar Gupta and DGP Sanjay Beniwal of Chandigarh. Bajwa questioned the working style of Dinkar Gupta. Bajwa told the DGP Chandigarh that if it strikes me or my family, Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh and DGP Dinkar Gupta will be responsible.
Recently, the government ordered the withdrawal of police protection given to Pratap Singh Bajwa. It was said on behalf of the government that Bajwa is no longer a threat to anyone, so the security given by the state police should be withdrawn.
Congress unit demanded to be expelled
Earlier, Bajwa and another Congress MP Shamsher Singh Dulo had demanded a CBI and ED investigation into the poisonous liquor tragedy in the state. The state Congress unit wrote a letter to the high command on Friday demanding the expulsion of these two Rajya Sabha members for their involvement in anti-party activities.
Bajwa had raised voice against Chief Minister Amarinder Singh
On the other hand, Bajwa had demanded immediate removal of Chief Minister Amarinder Singh and Punjab Congress President Sunil Jakhar 'keeping in view the interest of the party'. Bajwa had said, “If the chief minister and the state president are not removed, the party will be destroyed in Punjab.”
An official spokesperson said, “The Punjab government has decided to remove the state police security of Congress MP Pratap Singh Bajwa. Our review found that there is no threat to them and now they will be given the central security provided by the Union Home Ministry. ”
The spokesman said that the state police protection given to Bajwa after receiving personal security from Union Home Minister Amit Shah had no meaning.
