PM Narendra Modi to Inaugurate Submarine Optic Fiber Cable Connectivity to Andaman & Nicobar Islands

new Delhi: A new era of Internet is beginning in Andaman and Nicobar Islands from today. Today he is going to inaugurate the high-speed internet project which was laid by Prime Minister Narendra Modi 20 months ago.

A bandwidth of 2X200 gigabytes per second between Port Blair, capital of Chennai to Andaman Nicobar and then 2X100 gigabytes per second between Port Blair to 7 different islands of Andaman-Nicobar.

With this stormy speed, people of Andaman and Nicobar will now get internet. The way Andaman and Nicobar have grown in importance in terms of strategic security during the last few years. The way Andaman and Nicobar has become an important center for stopping China in the sea.

In view of this, today Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to start a major facility for Andaman and Nicobar through video conferencing. A day before the introduction of high speed broadband, PM Modi held talks with BJP workers in Andaman.

During this discussion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, “Andaman-Nicobar Islands gave strength to India's freedom movement; Andaman and Nicobar also have a wider role for the defense, security and prosperity of new India for self-reliant India”. '

Please tell that the foundation stone of this project was laid by PM Modi on 30 December 2018 in Port Blair. About 2300 km long submarine optical fiber cable has been laid at a cost of Rs 1224 crore.

With this, Andaman and Nicobar will get fast and reliable mobile and landline telecom service like other parts of India. Stating this importance, the Prime Minister said, “I believe that with this facility being available in the time of Corona, it is possible to get maximum benefit of online education, education and banking services in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.” Will be able to happen.
