Srinagar: The body of a Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorist injured in an encounter in Budgam district of Jammu and Kashmir has been recovered by security forces from a drain near the site of the encounter. Police gave this information on Friday.
The police officer said, “Police and army, with the help of naval commandos, recovered the body of the terrorist from a drain on Thursday night. The terrorists jumped into the drain after being shot in an encounter on September 7 in Kavusa in Budgam district. After a four-day search, security forces found the body of a terrorist.
The terrorist has been identified as Aqib Ahmed Lone, he was a resident of Aglar area of Pulwama district of South Kashmir. He said that the security forces have found a bag after searching in the drain, which had some weapons and ammunition. There were also 13 grenades, 14 knives, 25 mobile phones etc. in the bag.
