Mumbai: In the drugs case, NCB has sent summons to seven people including actress Deepika Padukone, Shraddha Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan, Rakul Preet Singh and Simone Khambata. In the next three days, everyone will have to appear to record the statement. Deepika Padukone is not in Mumbai, the actress will appear before NCB later. Rakul Preet Singh and Simon Khambata will have to appear before the NCB tomorrow.
Earlier on Tuesday, NCB had also summoned actress Deepika Padukone's manager Karishma Prakash and Kwan Talent Management Agency CEO Dhruv Chitgopekar, but Prakash could not appear before the agency due to poor health.
NCB officials had said on Tuesday that they can summon Padukone as and when required. Sources said that the conversations on WhatsApp regarding the alleged narcotics are under the agency's investigation.
Inquiries are still being conducted today
In fact, some WhatsApp chat agency allegedly discussing drugs is on the radar. Sources said that some of these chats have allegedly taken place between Padukone's manager Karishma Prakash and a “D”.
An alleged drug nexus in Bollywood came to light during the NCB investigation into the narcotic approach in the case of actor Sushant Singh Rajput.
Sushant Singh Rajput's talent manager Jaya Saha, Abigail Pandey and Sanam Johar are being questioned by the NCB team today. Jaya Saha is being questioned for the third consecutive day.
