Center Says Controversial Sudarshan TV Show Can Be Aired Only After Modifications | Center told Supreme Court

new Delhi: The central government said in the Supreme Court on Wednesday that Sudarshan TV channel had allegedly violated rules in its 'Bindas Bol' based on the infiltration of Muslims in the bureaucracy. The Center said that the channel has been warned of stern action if it does so in future. In an affidavit filed in the Supreme Court, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has submitted its order passed on November 4.

This order was issued while taking action regarding the show cause notice issued to the channel on the disputed program. The affidavit stated, “Taking cognizance of IMC's suggestions, the Ministry is of the view that although freedom of expression is a fundamental right, the content which was being shown in the episodes of the program shows that the channel has used various audio visual material Violated the rules to show the program. The ministry found that it was not good, was abusive and encouraged communal views. “

On Thursday, the bench headed by Justice DY Chandrachud will hear the petitions opposing the Bindas Bol program of Sudarshan TV.
