new Delhi: The number of corona infected continues to increase in Delhi. On Monday, 3797 people have been infected with the Corona virus in 24 hours and 99 people have died. However, 3,560 people have recovered in the same time.
So far, 4,89,202 people have been infected with the Corona virus in the national capital and of these 4,41,361 have been cured. So far 7,713 people have died. Currently, 40,128 people are under treatment.
Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain said that the third severe wave of Kovid-19 has passed through Delhi. He said that there is no intention of putting a lockdown in the national capital again.
He said that infection cannot be controlled through lockdown and people should protect themselves by wearing masks. Corona virus cases have increased significantly in Delhi since October 28, when more than five thousand new cases were reported for the first time.
On Wednesday, more than eight thousand new cases were reported in Delhi. At the same time, for the first time in the last five months, 104 people died on Thursday.
Jain said, “The infection rate is the main indicator in assessing the status of Kovid-19 and is being monitored for a week. The first wave was in June when it was around 37 percent, the transition rate was 12–13 during the second wave in September and it was at the peak 15 days before the third wave and then started to decrease. Yesterday, this rate was around 15 percent. So I can say that the wave is gone. “
A day earlier, the central government had announced to arrange 300 additional ICU beds, double the number of daily RTPCR checks and conduct door-to-door surveys in the national capital. Union Home Minister Amit Shah held a meeting on Sunday in view of rising cases of corona virus in Delhi.
